Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Cook I to join the Food and Nutrition Services team at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231. This PRN role requires availability to work 6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday-Friday, in a fast-paced hospital kitchen.

You will read simple recipes, prepare meals to department standards, and maintain sanitation per HACCP guidelines while delivering supplies to designated areas. Join a supportive team focused on exceptional patient care and career growth within a respected health

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year relevant cooking experience in high volume setting.
• Short order cooking experience preferred.
• FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 days required.
• Knowledge of food preparation/handling and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work/area for maximum production, accurately follows production sheets.
• Deliver and stock supply items in designated areas in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains kitchen and serving areas in a clean, neat and orderly manner to exceed standards.
• Understands how to read and prepare simple recipes to department standards.
• Understand department standards of food quality and recipe taste.
• Learn HACCP sanitation guidelines and follow for safe handling.
