Job summary

Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, OH is seeking a Non-Clinical Groundskeeper (PRN, Days) to maintain the hospital grounds and assist with landscaping tasks. The role requires independent work, safety awareness, and the ability to operate grounds equipment.

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures, and policies; the Groundskeeper maintains cleanliness of the Health System grounds; performs trash removal from exterior trash cans; picks up trash and cigarette butts along sidewalks, curbs, facility entrances, and parking lots. Assist in mowing, trimming, planting flowers, watering flowers/plants, and weed removal. This position also includes helping maintain the grounds equipment and trucks.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid driver's license.

Experience: Previous similar experience is a plus.

Skills: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have demonstrated ability to work with required tools. Must also be safety conscious of proper lifting and cautious of moving vehicles. Must wear proper attire for weather challenged work days.
