Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify care plans. You will work with the Care Team to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, environment/technology, and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting care, and contributing to nursing quality indicators while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN licensure or eligibility per MD Board of Nursing.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• American Heart Association BLS required on hire.
• Must meet unit-specific certification requirements (PALS, ACLS, NRP).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide unit-specific or hospital-based patient care with solid clinical skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Contribute to NSQI and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards.
• Support leadership decisions and coordinate patient care.
• Model teamwork and patient-centered care across shifts.
