Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties at Genoa Healthcare Pharmacies. This temporary, intermittent role requires distribution of prescriptions, patient counseling, immunization administration where allowed, and strict compliance with State Board of Pharmacy rules.

Locations include 7 sites across Iowa with schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm and travel up to 50%. Licensure in IA and immunizer certification are required or obtained within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in IA
• Certified immunizer or willing to become within 3 months of hire
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
• Travel up to 50%

We seek a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. Per Diem Pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.

Schedule: Genoa Healthcare Pharmacies operate Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Candidates must have some availability during this time.

Locations: 7 sites across the state of IA.

Hours: Varies by location.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
• Travel up to 50%

Required Qualifications:

• BS Pharmacy or Pharm D
• Current pharmacist's license in the state of IA
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire
• Valid Drivers License
• Reliable Transportation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
