Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Behavioral Health Expressive Therapist at Marillac Campus to lead group therapy sessions and design therapeutic activities across music, art, recreation, and drama. You will work under the Clinical Manager to implement treatment plans and support patients and families daily.

Requirements include a high school diploma and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in expressive therapy. Relevant certifications are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or higher education required.
• Bachelor's in expressive therapy or Master's in related field preferred.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primarily group therapy to patients.
• Develop, organize, coordinate, and implement therapeutic activities (music, art, recreation, drama).
• Facilitate implementation of the treatment plan using appropriate methodologies.
• Schedule and complete group therapy sessions daily.
• Monitor patients' progression toward treatment goals.
• Maintain knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
• Follow policies and uphold professional ethics.
• Assume responsibility for risk, safety, continuity, and quality of patient care.
• Be accountable for achieving optimal outcomes within scope of practice.
