Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is seeking an EMT/BLS-certified professional to attend patients transported by ambulance on emergency and non-emergency calls. Under a paramedic's supervision, you will provide essential EMS care, including CPR, oxygen, and ambu-bag resuscitation, both at the scene and during transport.

You will complete care reports, manage billing information, and adhere to hospital and department procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification and EMT-Basic (or EMT-Intermediate/Paramedic) required upon hire.
• Georgia Driver's License required.
• Experience as an EMT is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Check EMS unit and equipment readiness before duty.
• Respond to calls within defined timeframes.
• Complete Patient Care Reports and document procedures.
• Follow Standing Orders and apply protocols appropriately.
• Ensure patient safety during transport and transfer of care.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
