Job summary

Texas Health Huguley is seeking a PRN Dietitian to perform nutrition-focused assessments, develop care plans, and provide education and counseling to patients in the hospital setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and an RDN credential, with strong knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and EHR documentation. Weekends and days shifts are included in PRN scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field.
• RDN credential required.
• Experience with hospital nutrition care preferred.
• Proficient in EHR and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Completes nutrition-focused assessments and reviews medical records.
• Evaluates data to identify nutrition risks and malnutrition.
• Offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals.
• May place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies.
• Provides counseling using evidence-based techniques and culturally appropriate education.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and regulatory survey prep.
