Job summary

BJC Outpatient Imaging is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technologist for a PRN position at our brand-new outpatient imaging center in Sunset Hills, MO.

You will perform high-quality radiographic examinations, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians and the imaging team to deliver outstanding outpatient care. This role offers flexible PRN shifts and a focus on orthopedic patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiography Technologist.
• Must have an Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and current registration; state licensure in the practicing state.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations per imaging protocols.
• Produce high-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Review patient history and verify exam orders; prepare patients for procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as appropriate.
• Evaluate image quality and maintain patient documentation.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and interventional procedures as needed.
• Maintain equipment, QA standards, and exam room readiness.
• Educate patients and collaborate with physicians and imaging team.
