Job summary

Clinical Athlete is seeking a PRN Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist located in Denton, Texas. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing covered services to patients and preparing them for radiological procedures, ensuring minimal radiation exposure and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.
  • Must be certified in general radiologic technology by the ARRT and possess an active, current certification.
  • Must meet radiological technologist requirements of the state in which the services are provided.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient and adjusting equipment.
  • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff using appropriate techniques.
  • Documents pregnancy status and shielding precautions.
  • Ensures operation of Radiology equipment through quality checks.
  • Maintains radiology supplies inventory.

PRN Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the provision of covered services to enrolled and unassigned patients presenting for care.
  • Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
  • Documents pregnancy status of female patients of youth bearing age and the shielding precautions taken in the performance of the imaging study.
  • Ensures operation of Radiology equipment by performing quality checks following manufacturer's recommendations and trouble‑shouting equipment as required, calling in repairs when necessary.
  • Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to establish inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:
