Job summary

Solis Mammography in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Diagnostic Breast Sonographer (PRN) to independently operate ultrasound equipment, capture high-quality images, and obtain precise measurements. You will work with radiologists and patients in a patient-focused environment, delivering compassionate care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, ARDMS certification, and proficiency with RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by CAAHEP.
Active ARDMS certification with CME compliance.
Ability to educate patients about the role of mammography.
Read/write and comprehend medical terminology; communicate with doctors, patients and staff.
Proficient with RIS/PACS and database software.

Responsibilities

Produce high-quality ultrasound images and measurements for each exam.
Explain procedures to patients to maximize comfort and cooperation.
Assist and/or chaperone radiologists during ultrasound exams.
Assist radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using sterile technique.
Maintain ultrasound equipment for cleanliness, safety and proper function.
Document patient and procedure data accurately and consistently.
