Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies in St. Joseph, MI is seeking a Dentist (DMD, DDS) to provide dental services at Berrien County Jail.

This full-time position requires current licensure and DEA, and work within a correctional health care setting. You will perform radiographic exams, provide emergency and general dentistry including extractions, refer when needed, and contribute to patient care in a teamwork‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice dentistry in the state.
• Active DEA number.
• Fluent English— reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
• Able to work as a team member and contribute to a positive environment.
• Ability to make independent decisions when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret radiographic exams.
• Provide emergency and general dental treatments including extractions, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy.
• Make referrals for procedures not available at the facility.
• Report unusual occurrences to supervisory medical leadership and participate in required trainings.
