Job summary

MUSC Health in Charleston, SC seeks a CT Technologist (PRN) to operate modern CT equipment, including photon counting CT, under radiologist supervision. You will perform radiologic examinations, ensure safety protocols, and prepare the suite for patients.

The role emphasizes timely exams, coordination with radiologists and other care teams, adherence to ACR guidelines, and completion of ARRT registration and SC licensure within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration (R) required; CT registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
• Licensure from the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic examinations timely, accurately and safely for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure that the schedule does not fall behind; exam delays are communicated to all stakeholders.
• Use per-exam protocol with appropriate markers and positioning; images are free of artifacts and motion.
• Screen patients for identification, history and safety protocols; review medical history for exam indications and contraindications.
• Review schedule/patient records 3-5 days before appointment; evaluate for appropriateness and contraindications.
