Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist for our South Florida facilities on a PRN basis. The role emphasizes patient safety and performing high-quality CT studies, with responsibilities including communication with radiologists and training new staff.

The position requires ARRT CT registration (or NMTCB in certain states), a state license, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license. Prior radiology experience is valued, with opportunities to work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT registered CT technologist required.
• NMTCB CT acceptable in lieu of ARRT where allowed by state.
• State license in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Trains new technologists and Patient Coordinators when needed.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist at our South Florida facilities facilities. This will be a PRN position.

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.

• Produces high quality diagnostic images.

• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.

• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.

• If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.

• State license.

• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.

• CPR certification.

• Technologists performing mid-day moves.

• Active State Driver’s License.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
