Job summary

Advocate Christ Hospital & Medical Center in Oaklawn, IL is seeking a skilled PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Anesthesiology Team. The CRNA will provide anesthesia care for elective and emergency surgeries, across various specialties including general, vascular, thoracic, orthopedics, neuro, and transplant cases.

The ideal candidate is licensed as an RN in the practicing state, holds CRNA certification, and has or will obtain required APN and DEA credentials.

Qualifications

• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• CRNA certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
• APRN license issued by the state of practice.
• DEA registration issued by the DEA.
• PALS certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempted by leadership.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempted by leadership.
• NRP certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempted by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for elective and emergency surgical cases.
• Perform spinals, arterial line placement and some peripheral nerve blocks.
• Collaborate with anesthesia team to ensure patient safety and optimal perioperative care.
