Job summary

ClearSky Health in Flower Mound, TX is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support patient-specific rehabilitation goals under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

As a PRN COTA, you will deliver quality, compassionate care, document progress, and collaborate with the care team to maintain safe, effective therapy programs while adhering to hospital standards and patient-centered practices.

Qualifications

• 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting is preferred.
• Must possess current state licensure as a COTA in good standing at the time of hire.
• Basic Life Support/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapist in determining patient abilities and/or limitations in establishing treatment goals and planning OT treatment.
• Complete documentation of patient status/progress for assigned patients under supervision.
• Report observations of patient performance to Occupational Therapist.
• Provide age-related and culturally sensitive delivery of patient care services.
• Collaborate with the patient, team members, and area staff during the rehabilitation process to ensure quality care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress.
• Assist in safe and efficient management and maintenance of the therapy program areas, equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to treatment and safety precautions, including emergency response.
• May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
