A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Home Health Aide (HHA) is an essential caregiver who supports patients in daily tasks, working closely with nurses and healthcare professionals. CNA/HHA's provide quality care and assistance to patients in the home, hospitals, and other medical facilities.
Responsibilities are developed on a case-by-case basis and may include but is not limited to the following:

According to the Regulated Health Professions Act, the home health aide will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing. Specifically, the home health aide will not administer medications, take physician’s orders, or performany procedures requiring the training, knowledge, and skill of a Registered Nurse.
Individual contact with a client in their living environment. May be required to respond in an emergency situation. Travel required. The position includes tasks that have the potentialfor exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as bodyfluids/tissues.
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
