Baylor Medical Center Frisco is seeking a PRN Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its hospital laboratory team. You will work under the Laboratory Director to deliver accurate testing and maintain instrument calibration, QC, and reporting integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or an Associate degree in laboratory science, relevant certifications, CPR, and strong attention to quality and regulatory standards. Prior hospital lab experience is preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with hospital lab experience.
• Associates degree in laboratory science with hospital lab experience or 3+ years in an accredited lab.
• Certification MT/MLS (ASCP) or MT (AMT) or MLT (ASCP).
• CPR required; knowledge of governing policies and standards.
• Basic computer skills; color vision.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-quality laboratory testing support under the Laboratory Director.
• Ensure accurate results across pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases.
• Operate instruments, understand LIS outputs, and ensure proper report content.
• Apply quality control data to daily work and troubleshoot with staff.
• May perform venipuncture and handle specimen labeling and integrity.
• Review and authorize test reports and QC results following protocols.
• Maintain supplies and inventory; participate in improvements.
• Assist in setting up new procedures with final approval from Director.

Formação

Bachelor's degree in chemical/physical/biological/clinical laboratory science

Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
