Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Clinical Dietitian for Kennestone PRN (PRN Days) to join an interdisciplinary team providing medical nutrition therapy. The role involves nutrition assessments, care planning, education, and outcome evaluation for patients at nutrition risk.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in nutrition/dietetics and RD/RDN certification within 6 months of hire, with LD preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to mentor interns and support quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited program.
• ACEND‑accredited supervised practice program completed.
• RD/RDN certification within 6 months of hire; LD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform nutrition assessments and develop care plans according to the Nutrition Care Process.
• Evaluate patient nutrition risk and implement nutrition interventions and education.
• Document encounters in the health record and monitor outcomes.
• Mentor dietetic interns and participate in performance improvement activities.
