Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital is seeking a PRN Dietitian in Lake Charles, LA. You will deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy in an acute care setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Required: RD with CDR exam-eligibility and state licensure where applicable. Perks include education support and career advancement opportunities. This is a PRN, hourly position with staffing-driven hours.

Qualifications

Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or CDR exam-eligible.
Licensed Dietitian in the state of practice as applicable.

Responsibilities

Clinical Nutrition Care: perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
Education: provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable wellness for patients, families, staff, and the community.
Evidence-Based Practice: apply current research in alignment with the diet manual and facility protocols to ensure high-quality care.
Quality & Performance Improvement: contribute to QAPI initiatives to advance patient care and clinical excellence.
Collaboration & Service Excellence: partner with food service management to achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
Mentorship & Professional Development: support growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training.
