Job summary

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton in Missouri is seeking a PRN Pastoral Care professional to respond to emotional and spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff. The role participates in a multidisciplinary care team and covers on-call shifts as assigned.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and one CPE unit, plus about one year of experience in pastoral care or a related field.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meets the spiritual and emotional needs of patients/families through timely assessment, intervention, and communication.
• Collaborates with co-workers to accomplish departmental goals and balance workload as measured by employee satisfaction.
• Responds to physician referrals in the same day they are received to support medical staff.
• Contributes to a safe environment by reporting safety/security risks.
• Intervenes in crisis situations to provide support for patients, families and co-workers.
• Contributes to overall departmental performance by following policies, working efficiently, and reporting needed changes.
• Covers on call shifts as assigned.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
