Job summary

Union General Health System is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (PRN) to support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications with precision and compliance in a busy healthcare setting. In this as-needed role, you will handle inventory, verify prescriptions, process transactions, and assist patients with over-the-counter products while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

Current Pharmacy Technician certification from a recognized certifying body (PTCB or ExCPT).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of U.S. pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Verify prescription information and patient data for compliance and safety.
Manage inventory including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
Provide courteous customer service and assist with over-the-counter products.
Maintain records of prescriptions and transactions per regulatory requirements.
Support operations by cleaning and organizing work areas and equipment.
Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details.
