Job summary

PruittHealth at Home in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Enhanced Living Oaks Whitaker Glen location. This PRN role supports patients and caregivers with personal care and comfort, following state and professional guidelines.

The position offers top-of-market pay with a compensation plan that links pay to the level of effort required by visits, along with mileage reimbursement and flexible schedules. Prior home health experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion of a state recognized Home Care Aide Training Program and supervised clinical practice.
• One year of experience working with adults in a healthcare setting.
• Current registration in the state Nurse Aide Registry as a Certified Nurse Aide in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent nursing care to home health patients according to state and industry standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of home care for specific patient care skills.
• Helps maintain continuity of care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Obtain vital signs of patients as assigned.
• Follow procedures for handling medical emergencies or other incidents that affect the delivery of service.
• Report patient progress and problems to supervisory personnel.
• Observe and report any changes in condition, including skin integrity.
• Provide comfort care related to turning and positioning.
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patient.
• Assist with meal preparation and related tasks.
• Assist with patient transfer, ambulation and exercise of patients.
• Provide personal hygiene to patients, including bathing, shaving, oral hygiene, skin care, dressing, toileting, and hair care.
• Maintain accurate and current records of visits.
• Communicate and document tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ability to be self-directed, prioritize, manage time appropriately, and meet outcomes and strategic goals by targeted deadlines.

Job Purpose

Minimum Education Required

• Certificate of completion of a state recognized Home Care Aide Training Program and supervised clinical practice.

Minimum Experience Required

• One (1) years of experience working with adults in a healthcare setting.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
