Job summary

Guttenberg Care Center is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) on an on-call PRN basis to join a friendly, caring team. You will administer medications, assist with activities of daily living, and monitor residents for changes in condition to maintain safety and high-quality care.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate, completed Iowa-approved Medication Aide training, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate required.
• Successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and CPR certification.
• One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Front line of the Clinical Department to ensure residents receive medications.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living for residents.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide needed education to residents and families.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Guttenberg Care Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe. To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
