Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an RN-Ambulatory-PRN at Colony Park North to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in an ambulatory setting. You will coordinate patient scheduling, records, and admissions while counseling patients and families on treatment plans.

The role requires an active RN license and strong communication. You will collaborate with case managers, home health, and utilization review, and participate in committees to elevate patient care

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments and interventions for patients.
• Educates patients (and possibly family members) on topics such as the nature and status of patient’s condition, diet and medication/treatment side effects and adherence requirements.
• Ensures the safety of patients.
• Coordinates referrals to other services within and outside of the unit.
• Maintains accurate patient records.
• Functions as a preceptor per UMMC guidelines.
• Serves on committees or project teams to improve patient care.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service.
