Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Caretenders Home Health (a part of LHC Group) is hiring Home Health Aides and CNAs to deliver in-home personal care and health-related services. Requirements include a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation, and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred: CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with in-home personal care and designated health-related services to maintain physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, hair, teeth/mouth, nail care, skin care, and safe transfers.
• Report observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt when travel is required.
• Assist with household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care.

As the Home Health Aide or CNA, you will provide patients with in-home personal care and designated health related services to maintain the patient's physical and emotional well being.

Primary Responsibilities:

• May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing in bed, tub or shower; care of hair including shampoo, combing and brushing; care of teeth and mouth including denture care; nail care, filing only; skin care including peri care and applying lotion; transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair. Transfer of patients on and off bedpan, commode and toilet
• Reports observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager
• Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required
• Assists with household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $22.30 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
