Harbor Oaks Hospital is seeking a PRN Activity Therapist to join our team on a part-time, PRN basis. The role involves planning, directing and implementing activity therapy programs as part of the patient’s treatment plan. This is a Non Exempt Hourly position offering about 32 hours per month with flexible shift options.

Qualifications

• Plan, direct and implement activity therapy programs as part of the patient’s treatment plan.
• Non Exempt Hourly Position.
• Approximately 32 hours per month with flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Complete activity assessments from patient observation and interviews.
• Plan and direct activities to support treatment goals.
• Lead sessions for therapeutic leisure skills, education and awareness.
• Facilitate activities to improve mental and physical well-being.
• Instruct patients in activities such as sports, dance, music, art or relaxation techniques.
• Develop and implement activity interventions aligned to patient needs.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and community outings.
• Help patients develop social skills for independence.
• Modify activities for groups as needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude and address patient concerns.
