Job summary

Brighton Jones in Washington, DC is seeking a Summer Intern to gain exposure to financial planning, client service, and advisory work through real-world experience and mentorship. The program runs June 14th to August 5th, 2027, with priority consideration for applicants graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.

This role is in-office, up to 40 hours per week, at $19 per hour, with potential college credits.

Responsibilities

• Observe client meetings and participate in team prep meetings.
• Work on projects across investments, impact, marketing, operations, tax planning, MESI, and more.
• Receive ongoing coaching and participate in career development programming.
• Collaborate with interns nationwide on team projects, presentations, and book club discussions.
• Build relationships across the firm to deliver a holistic client experience.

Client & Advisory Experience

• Observe client meetings, participate in team prep meetings, and apply your learning through a mock client presentation designed to simulate a real-world advisory experience.
• Work on meaningful projects while gaining exposure to different areas of the business, including investments, impact, marketing, operations, tax planning, MESI, and more.

Program Details

• Program dates are June 14th - August 5th, 2027.
• Priority consideration will be given to candidates who apply by December 1st, 2026.
• Candidates should be on track to graduate with a bachelor's degree between December 2027 and June 2028 and be eligible for consideration for future full-time opportunities following graduation.

Eligibility & Working Conditions

• Availability to work up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in-office. This is a temporary, non-exempt/hourly position.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future. Brighton Jones does not provide employment visa sponsorship for this position.

Pay

Pay: $19.00 per hour with potential for college credits, if applicable.
