Job Summary

Provides private swimming instruction and leads aquatic activities for various populations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops aquatic programs and activities for populations of varying age, interest, and ability.
  • Instructs individuals or groups in swimming and aquatic activities.
  • Monitors pool area for safety violations and persons in distress and responds appropriately.
  • Provides underwater video analysis and instruction for various populations when appropriate.
Skills and Attributes
  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Position Requirements
  • Work Experience: No experience required.
  • Education: High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid Certification required within 90 days of employment in this position.
