Musicologie Prosper is seeking an accomplished strings teacher to provide private music lessons in our McKinney studio. You’ll teach beginner to advanced violin and viola, with cello/double bass expertise welcomed, and help students develop technique and musicality.

You’ll join a friendly, community‑minded team focused on delightful lessons, safety, and growth. This role requires strong communication, organization, and a passion for inspiring learners of all ages, with evening or weekend

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in your instrument, or equivalent experience.
  • Teaching experience on your instrument.
  • Experience working with kids and families; early childhood experience is a plus

  • Deliver engaging private lessons for violin, viola and other string instruments,s
  • Collaborate with other Musicologie teachers and managers to elevate everyone’s capabilities.

Job description

Musicologie Prosper is looking for an accomplished and energetic strings teacher to teach private music lessons. We are looking for a teacher that can teach beginner to advanced violin and viola. Cello and double bass expertise and teaching experience are a significant plus. We are a new studio offering in-person music lessons (online lessons only by exception) that opened in September 2025 and we are growing fast!!!

You are an expert musician who loves introducing people of all ages to music. You are friendly and warm, a great communicator, and always excited to help your students push through challenges.

Your Role:

As a Musicologie teacher you’ll work with students of all ages and abilities as they identify their goals and progress through curriculum related to those goals. You’ll be a friendly guide on their musical journey and you’ll encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.

  • A bachelor’s degree in your instrument, or equivalent experience.
  • Teaching experience on your instrument.
  • Experience working with kids and families; early childhood experience (under 5 yrs old) is a plus
