Job summary

CAPTRUST seeks a Private Markets Research Professional to source, analyze, and monitor private market investment managers with a focus on real estate and real assets. You will prepare due diligence reports, enhance processes, and build a client-focused network to deliver distinctive value.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with 8 years in financial services investment management and a CFA/CAIA preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of creating engaging collateral and effectively presenting complex investment concepts to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Source, analyze, recommend, and monitor private market investment managers, with an emphasis on real estate and real assets opportunities.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive due diligence reports on managers, including qualitative and quantitative factors.
• Identify and implement process improvements in manager due diligence.
• Build and maintain a professional network that is beneficial to clients, ensuring unique access and distinctive value-add.
• Aid in the creation and distribution of client-facing materials related to approved fund options.
• Encourage and assist advisors in the ongoing application of investment strategies and research for the betterment of their clients and their portfolios.
• Help the firm advance conversations around new business opportunities through stellar client relationship management and lending subject matter expertise to prospective client pitches.
