British American Household Staffing seeks an experienced Private Chef in Austin to own the kitchen rhythm from menu planning and grocery shopping to daily preparation and dinner service. The role requires strict kosher adherence, fresh, seasonal ingredients, and a discreet, proactive approach.

The chef will design varied kosher menus, prepare individually plated dinners, and tailor an entree for one family member each evening, while also packing lunches and managing the kitchen for five people.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional culinary experience in a household setting.
• Strong understanding of kosher dietary laws and food handling.
• Experience with Mediterranean, Israeli, Asian cuisines.
• Ability to work independently in a private residence.
• Current Austin resident with a valid driver's license.
• Current food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare fresh dinners for five, with appetizer, main, and sides, served on time.
• Design varied kosher menus drawing on multiple cuisines and techniques.
• Prepare individually plated dinners and a customized entrée for one family member daily.
• Pack school lunches and create time-efficient make-ahead components.
• Shop for daily meals, source ingredients, and manage kitchen budgets.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary, with full reset after service.
• Coordinate with household staff and maintain professionalism and discretion.
