Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of teaching or direct instructional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in a specific subject, grade range, intervention, or learning need.
• Strong instructional skills including individualized lesson planning and using student progress to guide instruction.
• Excellent parent communication and professional presence.
• Ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule for the full school year.
• Reliable transportation for in-person placements or a professional virtual teaching setup.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references.
• Professionalism and discretion when working with private families.

Responsibilities

• Provide recurring 1:1 instruction within your teaching expertise.
• Assess student academic level and identify priorities to drive instruction.
• Develop purposeful lesson plans based on individual student needs.
• Select and adapt high-quality instructional resources aligned to goals.
• Use student work and progress data to inform instructional decisions.
• Track progress and adjust approach as needed.
• Communicate progress and recommendations clearly with parents.
• Coordinate with Thrive team when needs shift and maintain weekly schedule.
