5 Legal, a leading international law firm, seeks junior to mid-level associates for the Investment Management Practice in Boston. The role may be resident in New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, or Washington, DC, with responsibilities including regulatory work and fund formation.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of experience with private funds and excellent academic credentials, along with strong drafting, organization and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience forming private investment funds (hedge funds, private equity funds) or related funds.
• Familiarity with private fund structures and laws governing private funds and managers.
• Excellent academic credentials; strong organization, drafting, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle traditional aspects of a registered fund practice, including regulatory and SEC disclosure matters.
• Advise on fund launches/formation and investments by institutional investors; assist with secondary transactions.
