Job summary

Nelson Mullins seeks a Corporate & Private Equity Partner with 8–15 years of sophisticated transactional experience to join its Corporate and Private Equity Team. The position offers a flexible location footprint with a preference for Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami/Boca, or DC.

The ideal candidate will represent private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic buyers, and have strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of corporate and transactional law experience at a law firm or equivalent.
• Strong M&A and private equity deal experience.
• Experience representing sponsors, portfolio companies, founders, or buyers.

Responsibilities

• Represent PE funds, portfolio companies, and corporate clients in M&A and strategic transactions.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and related documents.
• Conduct and supervise due diligence and coordinate closings.
• Advise on governance, ownership structures, and ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with clients, lenders, and counsel throughout the deal lifecycle.
