Job summary

UTIMCO seeks a private equity professional to help shape the endowment’s private investments portfolio, overseeing fund investments and collaborating with the Managing Director and Senior MD of Private Equity Investments.

The role requires 5–8+ years in direct investment, knowledge of legal structuring, and strong financial tooling skills (Excel, Bloomberg). Travel domestically and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of direct investment experience in finance, corporate development, operations, or investment-related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Knowledge of legal structuring.
• Strong risk management capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in financial tools and applications (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of a portfolio of private investments, monitoring manager performance and risk.
• Source and assess new investment opportunities and maintain the prospective manager database.
• Lead comprehensive due diligence for evaluating and underwriting prospective investments, particularly fund investments.
• Lead negotiation of investment structuring and terms with counsel.
• Assist and develop junior-level team members and communicate with Investment Committee and Board.
