Job summary

ComForCare Houston is seeking a Private Duty Nurse - LVN for weekend day shifts to provide skilled nursing visits to clients under RN direction in accordance with plans of care. You’ll monitor and document patient status, administer medications, and teach clients and families as needed.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with an active LPN/LVN license in Texas, CPR certification, reliable transportation, and a commitment to patient confidentiality and infection

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an LPN/LVN in the state of employment.
• CPR certification.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Providing skilled nursing visits for clients as defined in the nurse practice act and under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Following the client’s plan of care.
• Communicating status and condition changes to the RN as needed.
• Monitoring, recognizing, and reporting changes in the client’s condition.
• Completing medication administration and monitoring.
• Performing client teaching as necessary.
