Job summary

Elk Valley, a part of LHC Group within Optum, seeks a Home and Community Based Services Aide to support clients in their own homes across Tennessee. You will help with personal care and daily living tasks, enabling individuals to remain at home with dignity.

Responsibilities include documenting client condition, assisting with meals, transportation to appointments, and ensuring safety. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.

As the Home and Community Bases Services Aide, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs

Required Qualifications:

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit

State-Specific Requirements:

• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months; qualified for basic services

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months+ of home care experience
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work flexible hours

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $14.00 to $20.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
