Job summary

Visiting Angels Kansas City is hiring a Private Duty Caregiver to support seniors in the Kansas City metro area, including Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Shawnee, and nearby communities. You will assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meals, mobility, and medication reminders to help clients stay at home with dignity.

Full Time, Part Time, and various shift options are available. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, PPE, weekly pay, sign-on bonus, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent time-management skills required.
• Reliable transportation to client visits required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - including getting around the house, visiting the doctor, and taking walks
