Homestead Health Care is hiring Private Duty caregivers in the Dearborn, MI area. The role offers 4 to 12-hour flexible shifts with starting pay at $18.00 per hour.

You will support elderly clients with physical and emotional needs, building meaningful connections and ensuring safety and comfort during home visits. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, transfers, and medication administration, while maintaining documentation and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience passing medications.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid Driver License/Insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Travel max of 25 miles.
• Weekend availability.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with daily living activities including transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and walking.
• Use transfer devices safely (Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand, gait belts, slide board).
• Evaluate health changes and inform supervising staff as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment, with light housekeeping as required.
• Handle devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies with care.
• Document health and care progress as required.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist with eating.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Follow Homestead policies and procedures.
