Job summary

Safe and Sound Home Care, a family-owned agency in North Mississippi, seeks Private Duty Caregivers to support older adults and individuals with disabilities in their homes. We emphasize compassionate, patient-centered care with training, paid time off, and a supportive supervisory team.

You will assist with daily living activities, transportation, and meaningful engagement while fostering a calm, comfortable home environment and specialized dementia and end-of-life care as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of caregiving experience preferred (not required).
• Must pass background screening and drug testing.
• Have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Available to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide redirection, stability, and oversight to reduce confusion.
• Assist with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals.
• Help with laundry, light cleaning, and keeping the home neat.
• Drive to appointments and run errands with clients.
• Engage clients with conversation, music, and activities.
• Provide specialized care for Alzheimer’s/dementia, stroke recovery, Parkinson’s, diabetes, and end-of-life.
