Visiting Angels of Owensboro is seeking compassionate Private Duty Caregivers to serve clients across Henderson, Owensboro, and nearby areas with flexible schedules and competitive wages. You will support clients with daily living activities, transportation, meals, and companionship in accordance with personalized care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• First aid and emergency response training (provided if needed).
• Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties with dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards, including background check.
• Compassion and desire to brighten each client's day.

Responsibilities

As a Visiting Angels Private Duty Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Private Duty Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
