Responsibilities/Qualifications

As a caregiver, you will have the unique chance to provide both physical and emotional assistance, forming genuine connections with our clients. You will work 4 to 12‑hour flexible shifts at a rate starting at $18.00 per hour.

We are looking for candidates who are ready to work and love taking care of the elderly. Current shift from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm is available.

Responsibilities

• Use transfer assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, sit‑to‑stand, gait belts, and slide boards.
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and walking.
• Evaluate changes in client’s health and confer with other healthcare team members as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the environment, which may include light housekeeping.
• Use and clean devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor.
• Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities.
• Follow schedule, assisting residents with repositioning.
• Transport client to doctor’s appointments or shopping.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals.
• Provide companionship for the client.
• Follow all Homestead policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience passing medications.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.

• Reliable transportation.
• Travel max of 25 miles.
• Weekend availability.
