Job summary

State Street seeks a Senior Private Credit Managing Director within its Alternative Investments Private Market Services unit in Massachusetts. The role requires senior level executive interaction with State Street and major clients, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills demanded.

You will develop and execute business plans, manage client relationships, oversee monthly/quarterly deliverables, coordinate with Finance, Compliance and Tax, and lead and train managers and staff

Qualifications

• College degree (accounting strongly preferred; business, mathematics, finance or economics degree required) with 10+ years of accounting and/or financial services operations experience.
• Solid business unit management experience on complex clients requiring high levels of client interaction.
• MBA and/or CPA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute overall business plans with clients.
• Manage relationships with key client contacts to ensure client satisfaction.
• Responsible for all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables for assigned client base.
• Coordinate monthly and quarterly production calendars with clients and internal support areas (Finance, Compliance and Tax).
• Ensure processes and procedures meet quality standards and are regularly reviewed.
• Identify high risk processes and maintain controls to prevent financial loss.
• Direct and train subordinate managers and staff; address employee concerns.
• Meet performance planning requirements including goal setting and regular feedback.
• Communicate broad company initiatives to managers and staff within span of control.
• Develop department budget and staffing projections.
• Complete staffing proposals for newly awarded business.
• Assess operational effectiveness and suggest improvements to services.
• Develop ideas for new products and services to meet client needs.
• Participate in new business generation including proposals and staffing.
• Represent the organization as a senior level manager of State Street.
• Spearhead special projects and service on committees.
