Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required.
• Public accounting experience is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 10+ years of tax compliance experience, specializing in entity and individual taxation.
• Experience with corporation and partnership accounting and tax concepts.
• Master’s degree in tax or equivalent field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review tax projections, tax workpapers, and tax returns for federal and state filings.
• Oversee and manage the tax return process, resolving tax issues as they arise.
• Mentor, train, and manage staff accountants to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Manage multiple tax engagements in team environments and independently.
• Identify opportunities for new or expanded client services.
• Lead and manage engagements including budgeting, billing, and engagement economics.
• Provide highly proactive client service.
• Serve private clients, family-owned and closely held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.
