Candidates should have a JD from a top-tier law school, NY Bar admission or waiver eligibility, and an LL.M. with strong tax background, plus 5–7 years of relevant law firm experience. Strong drafting and supervisory skills are valued.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• New York Bar Admission or the ability to waive in.
• LL.M. and strong tax background required.
• 5-7 years of substantive law firm experience in estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
• Demonstrated drafting and estate administration skills, including experience with complex wills and trusts.
• Proficiency in preparing client presentations, tax calculations and analyses, and administering estates from probate through closing.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage client contact.
• Supervisory skills to direct paralegals in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth clients on trust and estate matters, including estate planning, tax strategies, and administration.
• Draft complex wills and trusts tailored to client needs.
• Manage the administration of estates from probate through final closing, ensuring all tax filings and legal requirements are met.
• Prepare client presentations and conduct tax calculations and analyses.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to deliver superior client service.
