Job summary

Initio Sphere Private Capital Ecosystem seeks qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Private Capital Strategy Associates. This is not a traditional employment role; associates operate as independent contractors activated through certification, verification, and approval.

Once approved, associates gain access to live deal flow, paid engagements, and opportunities to support investors and fund managers on capital allocation, portfolio strategy, and valuation analyses.

Qualifications

• Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real assets, or senior strategy/transaction consulting professionals with 5+ years of experience
• Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities
• Ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations

Responsibilities

• Support capital allocation and portfolio strategy decisions
• Analyze capital structures, funding options, and return drivers
• Evaluate downside risk, scenario outcomes, and sensitivity cases
• Translate quantitative outputs into strategic recommendations
• Build and refine 3-statement financial models
• Perform DCF, LBO, and project-level valuation analyses
• Conduct commercial real estate and operating company underwriting
• Prepare comparable company and precedent transaction analyses
• Develop football field valuation summaries
• Perform Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis
• Support commercial, financial, and operational diligence
• Assist with investment memos, IC materials, and investor presentations
• Identify transaction risks and execution considerations
• Associates may only perform work in categories for which they are explicitly approved.

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Private Capital Strategy Associates.

This is not a traditional employment role. Associates operate as independent contractors and are activated through Initio Sphere’s certification, verification, and approval process.

Once approved, Private Capital Strategy Associates:

• Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
• Gain access to live deal flow and paid strategic analysis engagements
• Support investors, fund managers, and operators on capital allocation and transaction strategy
• Contribute to investment theses, portfolio decisions, and execution planning
• Build a verified deal track record and Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers:
Senior Private Capital Strategy Associate · Lead Private Capital Strategy Associate · Private Capital Strategy Associate

Rating Score: 90–100

Pay: $150–$200/hour

Typical Background:
Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real assets, or senior strategy/transaction consulting professionals with 5+ years of experience

Rating Score: 80–89

Pay: $100–$150/hour

Typical Background:
Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in transaction support, valuation, capital markets, or investment strategy

Rating Score: 60–79

Pay: $50–$100/hour

Typical Background:
Entry to mid-level professionals with strong analytical skills and exposure to financial modeling, diligence, or investment research

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Private Capital Strategy Associates are engaged based on category-specific approvals, earned through assessment and performance—not tenure.

• Support capital allocation and portfolio strategy decisions
• Analyze capital structures, funding options, and return drivers
• Evaluate downside risk, scenario outcomes, and sensitivity cases
• Translate quantitative outputs into strategic recommendations
• Build and refine 3-statement financial models
• Perform DCF, LBO, and project-level valuation analyses

How Associates Start Earning

• Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
• Receive category-specific approvals (Capital Strategy, Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence)
• Become verified on the Initio Sphere platform
• Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live deal work

Verified Private Capital Strategy Associates are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors.

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

• Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
• Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training
• Active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each associate receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

• Platform visibility and deal access
• Approved work categories
• Recommended hourly rates

Scores are dynamically updated based on quality, strategic contribution, and client feedback.

Compensation & Deal Terms

Associates operate as independent contractors, not employees

Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level

Associates may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues
