Job summary

First Western Trust in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Private Banker III to manage advanced private banking responsibilities across consumer, commercial, and treasury accounts. You will serve as an escalation point for branch staff, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-level service via in-person, phone, and email interactions.

The role focuses on developing long-term client relationships, contributing to business development, onboarding, and ongoing training. Notary within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience may offset.
  • 5–7 years of client-facing banking experience.
  • Strong understanding of teller operations, deposits, treasury management, and banking regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized with attention to detail.
  • Experience serving high-net-worth clients with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of First Western’s financial products, tax laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Notary commission within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Handle complex new accounts, service requests, and deposit product needs including debit cards, online banking, and money movement.
  • Act as an escalation point for commercial and treasury management-related issues; take ownership of client concerns through resolution.
  • Support operational deposit projects, associate onboarding, and training efforts.
  • Build long-term relationships with high-level consumer, commercial, and treasury clients.
  • Participate in sales efforts, including prospect calls, presentations, and new deposit development activities.
  • Open new deposit accounts and ensure accurate onboarding for complex client relationships.
  • Assist with treasury management implementation, daily support, and reviews of commercial client reporting, bonus rate approvals, ECR exceptions, and credit limit products.
  • Support quarterly and annual audits, maintain compliance standards, and oversee physical security responsibilities when required.
  • Provide teller coverage when needed, including cash handling and end-of-day processing.

About the Role
