Job summary

Netflix is seeking a Privacy Software Engineer for the Ads Identity and Audiences team. You will design and implement privacy-preserving technologies to safeguard member data across the Netflix Ads Suite while ensuring compliance with regional regulations.

You will collaborate with skilled engineers to build distributed cloud-based applications, apply data minimization and encryption techniques, and contribute to a privacy-first culture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing privacy features for ad platforms with data protection and compliance.
• Deep understanding of data privacy governance, security concepts and Privacy by Design.
• Experience implementing data minimization, encryption and de-identification techniques.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and CPRA regional regulations.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++ with OO design patterns.
• Experience building distributed cloud-based applications and high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with big data tools like Spark and handling large datasets.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of the ad tech/digital marketing landscape.
