H. T. PROF Group's Washington, DC office seeks a talented Privacy Associate to join its nationally recognized Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice Group.

The role offers exposure to privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance matters advising clients on current and emerging data protection laws. Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school with active DC Bar admission, strong research and drafting skills, and experience counseling on privacy and data protection

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in Washington, D.C. (or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar), in good standing
• Experience advising clients on privacy compliance, data protection, and related regulatory matters
• Familiarity with U.S. privacy laws and regulations, including state privacy frameworks and federal requirements
• Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills
• Exceptional written communication abilities with experience preparing client-facing advice and regulatory analyses
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on privacy compliance, data governance, and data protection requirements across a variety of industries
• Assist clients with regulatory compliance efforts involving U.S. and international privacy frameworks
• Conduct privacy and cybersecurity due diligence in connection with corporate and commercial transactions
• Draft, review, and update privacy policies, data processing agreements, and related compliance documentation
• Support clients with cybersecurity preparedness, incident response, investigations, and risk-management initiatives
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on complex regulatory, transactional, and advisory matters
