The St Helena Public Service is seeking Prison Officers in Jamestown to supervise inmates with humanity and help them lead law-abiding lives in custody and after release. You will support a safe and secure environment where rehabilitation is encouraged.

You will take direction from Senior Prison Officers and assist the Superintendent of Prisons in running the establishment while promoting responsible reintegration. This role offers meaningful service to the community.

The role of a Prison Officer is to look after them with humanity and help them lead law abiding and useful lives in custody and after release. Day-to-day, you’ll supervise prisoners and help to create a safe, secure environment where rehabilitation is supported and encouraged.
